PMP Pals’ Network Policy for Funding Research
Fund raising for the treatment of Pseudomyxoma Peritonei, Peritoneal Carcinomatosis and Appendix Cancer in general is internationally daunting, as valuable and meritorious research is taking place around the world.
Therefore the PMP Pals' Network has always provided the readers of our publications, and visitors to www.pmppals.org with several options to direct their own individual and personal preferences for funding PMP cure research without specific endorsements from our network.
Among the sources that the PMP Pals’ Network lists for consideration in the funding of PMP cure research are the those listed on the CONFERENCES, CLINICAL TRIALS and the SURGEONS & SPECIALISTS links at www.pmppals.org
Many of the Conferences and Symposiums listed on www.pmppals.org provide forums for our PMP specialists, world wide to join together in the exchange of valuable information for the treatment and eventual cure, of PMP.
The international list of PMP SPECIALISTS posted on www.pmppals.org participating in these conferences and symposiums, welcome your donations to assist them in conducting PMP cure research and exchanging information.
The CLINICAL TRIALS and research studies posted on www.pmppals.org provide examples of the variety of research studies now underway. The PMP Pals Network welcomes the posting of new bona fide PMP cure studies and trials, as they become available.
The PMP Pals’ Network invites those interested in funding PMP cure research for improved treatments and/or a cure for PMP, to investigate all options as outlined above, as well as in the following paragraphs.
By providing these options, those who wish to contribute to PMP cure research funding can do so directly, by contacting their preferred PMP specialists.
Here is where you can donate to research for treatment and a cure
When considering the option of donating to any research funding solicitation, ask yourself:
- What are the professional scientific backgrounds and qualifications of the individuals soliciting and distributing funds?
- What are the qualifications of those who are making the determination of how my research contributions are distributed for PMP cure research?
- How will the designation of funds for PMP cure research be determined?
- Is the "board" that is distributing the donations comprised of family members/spouses?
- Does the “board" soliciting funds reflect the needs of, and research possibilities of, "PMP" patients around the world?
- Does the "board" have the ability to responsibly investigate and distribute research for a PMP cure fundinternationally?
PMP affects patients everywhere.
How often during each week do you hear reports of a new "cure?"
Cancer, in particular, is a complex disease that we all want to resolve TODAY.
To date, since 1998, the PMP Pals' Network has served patients in 45 countries. "State of the art" research is currently being conducted in Australia, Europe and the United States.
The PMP Pals' Network encourages you to do your “homework” and investigate your options for donating to PMP cure research carefully.
